The 2020 Hackley Public Library Summer Reading program, running from June 15 to August 15, will look different for kids, teens, and adults.
The HPL will use an online program called Beanstack, where participants can register online, track reading progress from home, and have the chance to win prizes.
Readers don’t need a library card to participate.
Watch for more details at hackleylibrary.org and https://www.facebook.com/HackleyPL/.
A library card provides access to Digital Resources, such as Hoopla, OverDrive/Libby app and RBdigital. Browse thousands of titles, including eBooks, audiobooks, movies, and music, all for free! These can be enjoyed on several platforms, including smartphone, tablet, computer and TV.
HPL offers fun & games, teen resources, helpful links and virtual programs--and even a ‘Mini’ Spring Library Challenge! Visit the ‘Virtual Programs’ page to download and print the Challenge bingo sheet. When HPL reopens, turn in your completed sheet and be entered to win a prize.
Watch for activity links, virtual tours, staff videos, and more on Facebook, including online programs.
At 6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, HPL Storytimes will be posted to watch from home.
Every Wednesday at 2 p.m. ‘Left to Write’ prompts will be posted, where participants can embrace creative writing. Once the library reopens, participants can come together and share the things they have written.
For information on all the library resources, visit https://www.hackleylibrary.org/ or visit the library’s Facebook page.
