The Michigan Civil Rights Commission met in a special meeting this week to finalize the process for selecting a permanent Director for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR).
At its June meeting, the commission voted to establish a search committee and that panel this week presented, and the commission approved, a revised job description, application, timeline and recommended reference questions.
The qualified candidates identified in the previous search will be invited to reapply and the commission will re-open the position to new applicants.
The process is expected to conclude with the selection of a director by late August.
As before, applicants who are not selected for interview will be notified in writing.
The job posting is now available online.
