On Tuesday, Oct. 6, the Macomb Cultural & Economic Partnership (MCEP) will be placing 13 sculptures, including continuing two present sculptures in the south end of Mount Clemens.
The new sculptures will be in place until October 2021.
In the MCEP sculpture program’s first year (2018-2019(, eight sculptures were placed in the south end of Mount Clemens.
Last year, 12 sculptures were placed for a one-year display.
The sculptures are sponsored for a year from the Midwest Sculpture Initiative which coordinates with artists. The MCEP arranges for financial sponsors for the pieces and locations to place the art works.
The Macomb Cultural and Economic Partnership is a non- profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Mount Clemens.
Programs include bringing international students to visit Macomb County, organizing trips for students and adults to travel overseas (pre-COVID), and improving local communities through visual artistic enhancement and community improvements.
Programs are supported by private funds.
