Panel to discuss women's health, racial disparities in healthcare system

The National Association of Women Judges, the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and WLAM Wayne region will present an interactive discussion regarding women’s health and the racial disparities within the healthcare system on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

A panel discussion, moderated by Wayne County Circuit Court Executive Court Administrator Zenell Brown will be followed by a Q&A and time for attendees to share their personal experiences.

Panelists will include:
  • Dr. Amy Cortis, pediatric emergency medicine physician in Detroit
  • Michelle Tidjani, general counsel at Henry Ford Health System
  • Emily Thomas, plaintiff’s attorney practicing in birth trauma litigation
  • Mary Placido, nurse practitioner at Beaumont Wayne
