David Weaver, outgoing Court Administrator and Clerk of the U.S. District Court of Eastern Michigan, was honored Wednesday, Dec. 16, during a 90-minute Zoom video conference at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. Judges, supervisors, and court staffers lauded Weaver as an outstanding, thoughtful, and innovative leader who worked with four chief judges to modernization the Court over a 21-year period as Court Administrator. Chief U.S. District Judge Denise Page Hood presided over the event and presented Weaver with an enlarged and framed version of a testimonial resolution. Weaver is retiring Dec. 31 and will be succeeded on Jan. 1 by Court Financial Manager Kinikia Essix.
