Chief U.S. District Judge Denise Page Hood, right, administered the oath of office on Wednesday to Kinikia Essix, the new Court Administrator/Clerk of Court for the U.S. District Court of Eastern Michigan. Essix, the manager of the Court’s Finance Department, replaces David Weaver, who retired last week after 21 years as Court Administrator/Clerk of Court.
