State Bar section looks at marijuana regulation matters

The Government Law Section (GLS) of the State Bar of Michigan will present “Cutting Through the Haze — Local Marijuana Regulation Issues” as an online seminar on Friday, Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon via Zoom.

The online program will consider some aspects of marijuana regulation that specifically impact Michigan townships, cities, and villages.

Opening with an update on the Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency by MRA Director Andrew Brisbo, the topic sessions will focus on zoning, construction code, and nuisance concerns involving caregiver grow operations, especially in residential areas, and then will examine the legal and procedural issues of adult-use/recreational initiative petitions.

This session is being held in lieu of the in-person GLS Winter Seminar.

Cost for the seminar is $20.
