Varnum recently announced that Jeff Koelzer, Matthew Maltz and John Sturgis have been elected to the firm’s partnership, reflecting growth in the firm's Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids offices.
Maltz is a corporate attorney in Varnum's Ann Arbor office. He has a broad range of transactional experience focused on public and private mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments and private equity transactions.
He also provides general corporate and day-to-day legal advice to public and private companies and entrepreneurs at all stages of growth.
Prior to joining Varnum as an associate in 2019, he worked as a private equity associate in Chicago.
Maltz graduated from University of Chicago Law School with a B.A. from University of Michigan.
Koelzer and Sturgis work in the firm’s Grand Rapids office.
