The State Bar of Michigan is offering another three-part series of virtual training sessions with Kimberly Papillon, a judicial professor and lecturer on neuroscience and fair decision-making in law, medicine, education and business.
In the webinar, "The Neuroscience of Decision-Making," Papillon will explore how brain imaging and decision-making studies can explain how we determine intelligence, veracity, threat and competence, according to the SBM.
With this understanding, participants can work to identify ways to ensure sound decision-making and fairness guided by science.
This is a three-part series that covers the topic of unconscious decision-making from scientific background and concept (Parts One and Two) through solutions (Part Three). Registrants should plan to attend all three sessions.
• Part One: Thursday, Feb. 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Part Two: Thursday, March 4 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Part Three: Thursday, March 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This webinar is offered free of charge to members and affiliates of the State Bar of Michigan.
