Roberts named to Tax Policy Committee
Wayne D. Roberts of Bodman’s Grand Rapids office has been appointed chair of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce’s Tax Policy Committee.
Co-chair of Bodman’s Business Tax Group, his legal practice is focused on corporate, business and individual tax planning and federal, state and local tax controversies. A recognized state and local tax (SALT) lawyer, he has been involved in significant legislative, administrative and case law developments in Michigan taxation.
Roberts represents clients on all aspects of federal and state tax planning, structuring, and litigation. He represents both closely held and publicly traded companies in transactional tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and dispositions. He has also represented businesses and individuals in tax disputes with the IRS, Michigan Department of Treasury, revenue departments in several states, and other taxing jurisdictions.
ABOTA votes in Waldman
Sinas Dramis Law Firm President and Partner Bryan J. Waldman has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Members of this invitation-only group must have tried a minimum of 10 civil jury trials to conclusion, possess additional litigation experience, and exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity, and professionalism as outlined by the ABOTA. New members are voted in by the National Board.
Waldman represents clients in various personal injury cases including auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle and pedestrian collisions, and wrongful death claims, among others. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers since 2007 in the area of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Litigation and has been selected by the publication as “Lawyer of the Year” (Lansing, Michigan) in 2015, 2017, and 2020. Leading Lawyers and Super Lawyers have recognized Waldman’s practice.
Waldman earned his JD from Wayne Law and undergrad degree from Michigan State University.
