Warner attorney named to two boards

Monique C. Field-Foster, a senior counsel with Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been appointed to the board of directors of Peckham, Inc., a nonprofit vocational rehabilitation organization; and the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics (NILE), a trade association for lobbying, public policy and government affairs professionals across the country.

An experienced lobbyist and policy analyst, Field-Foster practices in Warner’s Lansing office as senior counsel of government affairs. She concentrates her practice on all facets of government affairs, including policy strategy and development, analysis and drafting of legislation, legislative events, contract review and other advocacy initiatives.

Previously, she served as assistant vice president of strategic initiatives in the Michigan State University Office of Governmental Affairs. She also has served as an attorney-lobbyist for Wiener Associates, director of governmental affairs for the Michigan Department of Management and Budget, deputy director of legislative affairs for the governor’s office and a legislative policy analyst for the Michigan House of Representatives. She is a Council of State Government Henry Toll Fellow and a Big 10 Academic Alliance Leadership Fellow. A former member of the Michigan State Bar Representative Assembly, she also is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association.
 
 

WMU-Cooley Law School ranks among top 20 for female enrollment?
 

Enjuris.com has ranked WMU-Cooley Law School as a top 20 school for female enrollment in 2020. Enjuris.com has published its annual report, “Law School Rankings by Female Enrollment (2020),” which ranks WMU-Cooley 20th, with a female enrollment of 61.02 percent.

According to the Enjuris report, women outnumbered men in law school classrooms across the United States in 2020 for the fifth consecutive year.

In 2016, women enrolling in JD programs was over 50 percent for the first time, and in 2020, made up 54.09 percent of all students.
