Miller Johnson names leaders
Miller Johnson Managing Members David Buday and Bob Wolford announced the following leadership positions:
Dick Hillary was elected to the five-member Management Committee for a 3-year term. Hillary is a commercial litigator representing business entities and individuals, including hospitals, physician groups, large and small corporations, and individuals. He is chair of the Health Care Professional Licensing, Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation practice; chair of the Mental Health Provider practice; and co-chair of the firm’s Pro Bono committee.
The following are 1-year terms: Jim Ens, chair, and Dustin Daniels, vice chair, Business section; Cathy Tracey, chair, and Mary Tabin, vice chair, Employment and Labor section; Jeff Muth, chair and Joe Gavin, vice chair, Litigation section; Matt Van Dyk, office managing member, Kalamazoo; Kevin Sutton, office managing member, Detroit; Jim Peterson and Mike Stroster, General Counsel; Kelley Stoppels, chair, Diversity + Inclusion Committee; Julie Sullivan, chair, Women’s Steering Committee.
Thacker Sleight earns kudos
Grand Rapids Business Journal ranked Thacker Sleight No. 2 in West Michigan as a Top Family Law Firm in 2020.
Connie Thacker, Allison Sleight, and Terri Koenig created the firm 3.5 years ago. Family Law attorney Tiffany Burks joined in late 2020 and attorney Courtney Sierra in March 2021.
A Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Thacker is designated a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, and was recognized as a 2021 “Michigan Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers.
Sleight was named in “Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars” 2016-2021 and “Up & Coming Lawyers” in 2016 by Michigan Legal News. She was selected to Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders Class of 2019. She focuses her practice in Business and Family Law.
