Emily Maltby joins Thacker Sleight
Thacker Sleight has added experienced estate planning attorney Emily Mugerian Maltby to its Estate Planning practice group.
Maltby focuses her practice exclusively on estate planning, developing comprehensive plans such as; preparation of wills, sophisticated revocable and irrevocable trusts, and power of attorney documents catered to her client’s unique needs and goals.
Maltby graduated magna cum laude from WMU-Cooley Law School, and received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
She also has a Master’s degree in Geriatric Healthcare Administration, giving her a unique perspective and expertise in aging, health care policies, and financial management in health care.
Warner partner named among ‘Go To Lawyers’?
Warner Norcross + Judd partner Jonathan P. Kok has been named one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s Michigan Go To Lawyers for 2021, a peer-nominated award.
Based in Grand Rapids, Kok concentrates his practice in labor, employment and health law, assisting large public and private corporations in all industries on issues related to discrimination and harassment, unfair competition, disability and leave, as well as the design and negotiation of executive employment and compensation agreements. He also regularly handles union negotiations, arbitrations and National Labor Relations Board proceedings. He is co-chair of Warner’s Labor and Employment Practice Group.
Kok has been named to Best Lawyers in America every year since 2014. He was selected as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers in 2008-15 and named Best Lawyers’ Grand Rapids Employment Law Lawyer of the Year in 2019 and 2021.
He also was named one of Grand Rapids Magazine’s Top Lawyers in Labor and Employment Law in 2020.
