Online training looks at crash reconstruction

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will conduct an online training on "Lethal Weapon" on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 11-12, from 1 to 5 p.m. via Zoom.

This two-day webinar series will provide an overview of crash reconstruction for both law enforcement officers and prosecutors.

Featured topics include:

  • Intro to Crash Reconstruction
  • Reconstruction Vocabulary
  • Determining Speed Estimates
  • Pedestrian Crashes
  • Single Vehicle Crashes

He has reconstructed more than 1,300 crashes since 1985, including multiple and single vehicle, pedestrian, motorcycle, and train crashes, and has given sworn testimony on more than 200 occasions. Kwasnoski has served as an expert in several cases of national significance including South Carolina v. Susan Smith, which involved a mother's drowning of her two children in a vehicle.
