One Week Left To Win A Photo Challenge!
Hackley Library’s free Summer Photo Challenge will run through August 14.
Each week, Hackley Library posts picture prompts on its Facebook page. Using the prompt as inspiration, participants are invited to post/submit one picture a week to the HPL Facebook page with the relevant tags.
Submitted pictures will be gathered into folders, and the public votes for their favorite pictures by “liking” them.
At the end of the challenge, winners will have their picture framed and displayed at HPL.

‘Turtle Travels’ Will Run Through September 4
Think turtles have an easy life? Here’s your chance to try being one for a while. In this unique hands-on, interactive exhibit, you’ll have a chance to experience life as they know it. Built around a life-sized board game, you’ll face the same obstacles and dangers turtles face in their day-to-day life.

Library Presents ‘Meet Isabel Puddles’
The Muskegon Area District Library will present ‘Meet Isabel Puddles’ by M. V. Byrne, 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 11.
This Mitten State Mystery features Isabel Puddles, a widowed mother of two grown children who lives in a tiny hamlet along Lake Michigan, where she grew up.
She loves reading a good murder mystery, but until she takes a side job styling hair at the local funeral home, she never thought she'd be living in one!
