First mPower event hosted by MMLA September 21

The Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association (MMLA) is proud to host “mPower 2021: Envision Your Success” on Tuesday, Sept. 21, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Detroit Athletic Club, 241 Madison St. in Detroit.

This is the first-ever mPower event in Michigan with more than 200 attendees expected.  The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) created mPower as a networking organization for women in real estate finance.  It provides the platform for women to strengthen their networks, achieve professional growth and development, and to exchange ideas and information about the industry and the broader economy.

The event schedule includes:

• 11:30 a.m.—Registration and networking.

• Noon—Lunch service.

• 12:45 p.m.—Keynote address by Nicole Provonchee, founder of Bright Blue Consulting.

• 1:45 p.m.—”Leadership: Lessons and Learnings” panel featuring moderator Marcia Davies, mPower founder and COO of MBA; Jean Bradley, senior VP of Essent Guaranty Inc.; Kristy Fercho, executive VP and head of home lending for Wells Fargo; Joanne Misuraca, CEO of MMLA; and Dana Staniec, regional VP, mortgage banking, for Quicken Loans.

• 3 p.m.—Closing champagne toast to successful women with dessert and networking.

Cost is $79 per person, group of 5 for $350.  Registration fee includes: networking, lunch, speakers, dessert, champagne toast, and valet parking.  Attendees should note that the dress code is business attire as no denim is allowed in the DAC.

This event was previously planned for March 2020.  Anyone that registered at that time is still registered. Anyone with questions can email joanne@mmla.net.
