Nimphie appointed to InterAct of Michigan board

Benjamin P. Nimphie, an associate of the Grand Rapids office of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been appointed to the InterAct of Michigan board of directors.

His three-year term began in May and will end in January 2024. The nonprofit provides a range of mental health and substance abuse services that focus on building hope and wellness for low-income individuals in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.

Nimphie concentrates his practice in transactional matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and ESOP-related transactions. Additionally, he works within the firm’s Government Affairs Practice Group on various policy and political matters.

He received a bachelor’s degree in English from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in business administration with high honors from Boston University and a law degree cum laude from Boston University School of Law.
 

Coutchie named as Foster Swift COO

Cheryl Coutchie has joined Foster Swift Collins & Smith as Chief Operating Officer (COO), succeeding Terry Blakely, who is retiring.

 Coutchie, who joins the Grand Rapids office, has years of experience in the legal industry, previously serving in the roles of Director of Human Resources and Director of Pricing & Process Improvement.

As COO, Coutchie will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the day-to-day operations at the firm.

Coutchie received her Masters of Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
