Macomb County clerk unveils new service for CPL applicants

Macomb County Clerk Anthony G. Forlini announced this week he has streamlined the process of applying for a Concealed Pistol License.

“We are not only processing appointments on the same day as requested, but we have added the service of fingerprinting which prevents the need to set up a separate appointment at the sheriff’s office,” he said.

At one point last year, Forlini said, it was taking more than a month to get an appointment.

“Today we are processing between 30-100 CPL applications a day with same day appointments,” Forlini said. “The days of taking time out of your day to drive from office to office for your CPL are over.”
