The Diversity & Inclusion Action Team of the State Bar of Michigan’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section has selected the book “The Ground Breaking: An American City and Its Search for Justice” by Scott Ellsworth for its next Book Club discussion scheduled for this evening at 7 p.m.
The book tells the long, untold story of the race massacre in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1921 and its cover up. It goes on to tell the story of how the cover up was overcome and the story allowed to emerge.
Ellsworth was one of the people responsible for finding evidence and bringing it to light. He is now a professor at the University of Michigan and has agreed to participate in the discussion.
Those who would like to attend the discussion should contact Shel Stark at shel@starkmediator.com.
