The Oakland County Bar Association will present "Wiping the Slate Clean" as an online webinar on Thursday, February 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cost is $12 for OCBA members pre-registration and $25 for non-members pre-registration. Oakland County MIDC court appointed attorneys can attend for free.
This presentation will focus on the recently passed Clean Slate for Kids legislation. It will review youth record protections and set-asides, and how these new laws impact justice-involved youth. Katie Louras, Clinical Teaching Fellow for the University of Michigan's Juvenile Justice Clinic, will share her expertise and practical how-to information for families. Also speaking at the webinar will be Gabrielle Dresner of the Michigan Center for Juvenile Justice.
Credit has been approved with the Oakland County Bar Association for 1.50 Criminal credits and 1.50 Juvenile credits.
The Zoom link to this seminar will be provided in a confirmation email. To register, visit www.ocba.org and click on "events."
