CITY OF NORTON SHORES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of one public hearing to be held by the Norton Shores Planning Commission Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 5:30 P.M. in the Community Room, Norton Shores Library, 705 Seminole Road, for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the following requests:
1. Cassandra Wilson, with permission from the property owner, is requesting a Special Use Permit for a day care facility at 4650 Rood Road.

NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION
CITY OF NORTON SHORES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Norton Shores City Council, at its regularly scheduled meeting of March 1, 2022, adopted the following amendments:
Ordinance #831 - Amending Chapter 48 of the Code of Ordinances, Section 805, to reduce minimum lot area from five (5) acres to no minimum requirement for parcels zoned as Planned Unit Development (PUD).
Ordinance #832 – An amendment revising Chapter 2, Article I, Sec. 2-1 Ward boundaries and wards established following the 2020 census as follows; Ward boundary is hereby established in the middle of Mona Lake Channel at its intersection with Lake Michigan; traversing along the center of Mona Lake to a point south of Green Street; then north to the intersection of Green Street if extended to the northern shore of Mona Lake; then easterly along the northerly shore of Mona Lake to the outlet of the O.H. Waters Drain; then north-easterly along the O.H. Scott & Waters Drain to Airline Road; then southeasterly along Airline Road to Shettler Road; then east along Shettler Road to the east side of the City of Norton Shores and the end of the Ward boundary. Ward 1 shall be that portion of the city lying to the north of the ward boundary. Ward 2 shall be that portion of the city lying to the south of the ward boundary.
The ordinance is available in its entirety at the City Clerk’s Office, 4814 Henry Street, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
