Warner partner  named an ‘Up and Coming’ lawyer

Allyson R. Terpsma, a partner with Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been honored by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as one of its “Up and Coming Lawyers” for 2022.  

She will be honored during an awards luncheon April 8 in Detroit.

Terpsma concentrates her practice on labor and employment law. Based in Warner’s Grand Rapids office, she guides employers across a variety of industries through human resources challenges and advises them on employment-related contracts and policies, civil rights laws, disability and leave issues, wage and hour compliance and labor relations. 

She serves as board chair for Home Repair Services, treasurer for the Dartmouth Alumni Club of West Michigan and as a member of the Junior League of Grand Rapids. She also is a graduate of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leaders program.

Terpsma is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She was selected by Best Lawyers in America for its Grand Rapids “Ones to Watch” list in Labor and Employment Law-Management.

Terpsma holds a bachelor’s degree in English and economics magna cum laude from Dartmouth College and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School cum laude.

Chalgian and Tripp opens local office

Chalgian and Tripp has merged with Daniel L. Blauw Law, PLC, marking the entry of the firm into Grand Rapids, the ninth Chalgian and Tripp office in Michigan.

Attorneys Dan Blauw and Sarah Kirkpatrick joined Chalgian and Tripp March 1.

Blauw is a graduate of Hope College and the Valparaiso University School of Law.  Licensed in Michigan for over 40 years, he practices almost exclusively in the areas of special needs planning and legal issues related to persons with disabilities. 

Sarah Kirkpatrick is a graduate of the Regent University School of Law.  For the past 11 years, she has been primarily working with Blauw as an estate planner with a focus on special needs planning.

The Grand Rapids office is located at 2040 Raybrook SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
