Members of the Association of Black Judges of Michigan gathered for its Annual Worship Service on Sunday, March 6, at Fort Street Presbyterian Church in Detroit. Pastors Garrett R. Mostowski and Sarah Logemann (front row) were happy to welcome the ABJM. The Annual Worship Service was established by the ABJM to support members’ faith and to recognize the church for its years of effort demanding the legal system include African Americans as an integral part of the legal process. The Fort Street Presbyterian Church, located at 631 West Fort Street in Detroit, was constructed in 1855, and completely rebuilt in 1877. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1971.
