Training deals with 'Working with Reluctant and Recanting DV Victims'

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM) Violence Against Women Project (VAWP) will present an interactive online training on “Working with Reluctant and Recanting Domestic Violence Victims.” This prosecutors only training will be conducted Thursday, April 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Discussions will cover the following issues: recognizing potential issues regarding reluctant DV victims, discovery issues, due process issues, and dealing with reluctant/recanting victims in court.

This training satisfies 6 hours of continuing legal education for purposes of PAAM’s Best Practices Recommendations (including one hour that would satisfy ethics training). Attendance at full session is required.

To register for this training, prosecutors or assistant prosecutors should visit www.michiganprosecutor.org and click on “training.”
