AWARE, Inc. will host its inaugural Kentucky Derby event, Saturday, May 7, in the Commonwealth Commerce Center Grand Ballroom.
The event will feature Southern fare, mint juleps and a cash bar, wagering games, a best hat and best tie competition, and live entertainment throughout with a live stream of the 2022 Kentucky Derby.
Tickets are $85 per person, $150 for two, or $500 for a table of six and include a meal with a drink ticket for each guest and access to the fun.
A cocktail hour for sponsors starts at 4 p.m., and guests can enjoy wagering games and cash bar starting at 5 p.m., until dinner at 6 p.m. Post time for the Kentucky Derby is 6:58 p.m.
A 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization and a United Way partner, AWARE, Inc., offers 24-hour crisis and referral services, temporary shelter, housing advocacy, counseling support, public awareness and community education, legal advocacy, and supervised visitation and safe exchange services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children.
