Katie Szymanski joins Varnum’s Estate Planning team
Katie Szymanski has joined Varnum’s Estate Planning Team in the Grand Rapids office.
Szymanski has significant experience in estate settlement and trust administration matters. She has additional experience working with individuals and families through ongoing estate, tax and wealth transfer planning for current and future generations.
Szymanski’s background also includes review of tax compliance forms and non-traditional asset planning including strategies for real estate and closely held business interests. She previously served as a trust officer for a regional accounting firm and holds a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA®) designation.
Szymanski graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law, and received the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award. She received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Aquinas College.
Cumings selected for Crain’s ‘Names to Know in Lobbying’?
Troy M. Cumings and Monique C. Field-Foster, partners with Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, have been selected to the ‘50 Names to Know in Lobbying’ by Crain’s Detroit Business for 2022.
Cumings is a partner in Warner’s Lansing and Grand Rapids offices and co-chairs the firm’s Government Affairs Practice Group. He concentrates his practice on policies impacting businesses and organizations with a Michigan presence, working within the intersection of law, policy and politics.
Cumings has more than 20 years of experience working on government policy in Michigan, other states, Washington, D.C., and around the world. He is regarded as one of the lead advocates on environmental policy in Michigan. He also has extensive experience with other policy areas, including health care, child welfare, tax, economic incentives, labor, energy, mining, licensing, religious issues and banking.
Field-Foster is executive partner of Warner’s Lansing office, and she co-chairs Warner’s Government Affairs Practice Group.
