‘Lively Up Kombucha!’ Tour set for July 15

Hackley Public Library will offer the Lively Up Kombucha Tour on  Thursday, July 14, 6 to 7 p.m, 1945 Stebbins Road.

Join the library for a free tour of the lakeshore’s craft kombucha brewery, Lively Up Kombucha!

Participants will get a tour of the brewing facility, have samples, and ask questions about this wildly popular and healthy beverage.

Summer Book Talk is Set July 20

The Montague Branch of the Muskegon Area District Library will  host Summer Book Talks, starting with John Wemlinger, Michigan Notable Author of “The Cut,” 7 to 8 p.m. July 20.

Talks will take place in the City Council Chambers. A Zoom link will also be available to all who register at madl.org/calendar.


‘Music of John Williams’ coming in September

The West Michigan Symphony will present “The Music of John Williams,”7:30 p.m.,, Friday, Sept. 30, in the Frauenthal Theater.

The legendary film scores of John Williams are unparalleled in their ability to connect movie-goers of all ages. Hear music from Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, and more, conducted by Scott Speck.

Williams has composed the music and served as music director for more than 100 films. His 40-year artistic partnership with director Steven Spielberg has resulted in many of Hollywood’s most acclaimed and successful films.
Season tickets are on sale now. Subscribers save up to 20% over single ticket prices.
