Family Law Section hosts ‘Mid-Summer Conference’ Aug. 11
The Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan will conduct its “Family Law Mid-Summer Conference” Thursday through Sunday, August 11-14, at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI.
The conference will feature presentations by family law practitioners providing state-of-the-law education and tips on family law issues.
Topics and speakers include:

Cost for the “Family Law Mid-Summer Conference” is $195 for Family Law Section members; $225 for non-section members; and judges are welcome at no charge. Speakers to discuss Macomb County specialty courts
The Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan will present an in-person program on “Macomb County Specialty Courts” Friday, August 5, from 9 a.m. to noon at Macomb Community College, University Center Building on Center Campus, 44575 Garfield Rd. in Clinton Twp.
Presenters at the program will include:
• Christina Wohlfield, court services director at Macomb County Circuit Court, who will discuss “Brand New Attorney at the Circuit Court Arraignment. What Are These Courts and How Do I Get My Client Enrolled?”
• Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Julie Gatti, Sobriety Court.
• Tom Tomko who will discuss “Securing Experts and Independent Evaluations”
