The League of Women Voters of Michigan is encouraging voters to prepare for the upcoming August 2 primary election by visiting VOTE411.org.
VOTE411.org is a one-stop-shop for election information, providing researched, valuable and nonpartisan information about candidates and ballot questions. It is a free-to-use resource that is available in both English and Spanish.
“For over 100 years, the League of Women Voters of Michigan has been empowering voters to have the right, knowledge and confidence to participate in our democracy, and VOTE411.org is a powerful tool for that,” said Christina Schlitt, co-president of the Michigan League. “We encourage every eligible voter with internet access to visit VOTE411.org for election information and updates, and to vote in the August 2 primary election.”
VOTE411.org allows users to enter their address to access personalized election information, like polling location, the contents of their ballot and their voter registration status. The website also contains absentee ballot information, election dates and key deadlines, and factual, nonpartisan information on local, state and federal races.
“All voters should feel confident heading to their polling places on Election Day, and VOTE411.org ensures they will have the knowledge they need to cast their ballot,” said Paula Bowman, co-president of the Michigan League. “Ensure your values and beliefs are reflected by getting informed and voting.”
