The Association of Corporate Counsel-Michigan Chapter (ACC-MI) will present “Mentorship: How We Can Succeed While Uplifting the Next Generation of Attorneys” sponsored by BSP Law on Wednesday, August 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Detroit Athletic Club, 241 Madison St.
This presentation will discuss the benefits of mentorship for everyone involved, training strategies, and how pro-bono opportunities can assist in molding the next great generation of attorneys.
Speakers at the program will include U.S. District Court Judge Laurie Michelson, Eastern District of Michigan.
Michelson was commissioned by President Barack Obama on March 14, 2014, to serve as a U.S. district judge for the Eastern District of Michigan.
She served as a U.S. magistrate judge in this district from 2011 to 2014.
Michelson received her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1992 and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1989.
