ACC-Michigan Chapter looks at what Dobbs means for employers

The Association of Corporate Counsel-Michigan Chapter (ACC-MI) will present “Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization: What it Means for Employers” sponsored by Jackson Lewis on Wednesday, September 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, 461 Piquette Avenue in Detroit.

Employers are actively considering how the Dobbs decision and resulting state legislative activity impact their health plans. What, if anything, can or should employers be considering regarding increasing access to reproductive services for employees? This program will discuss the state of the current legal landscape, highlight key considerations, and share evolving design options for employer-sponsored benefits.

Natalie M. Nathanson will be the keynote speaker.  She counsels clients on compliance and administration of qualified retirement plans under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code and assists with welfare plan issues involving cafeteria plans, health plans, flexible spending accounts, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and COBRA. She provides training and guidance to Employee Benefits Administrative and Trust Investment Committees regarding their fiduciary duties under ERISA. Nathanson also advises on non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements and compliance with Section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code.
