Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association to host holiday party
The Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, Southeast Chapter, will host its Annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hollywood Casino at Greektown - Urban Cocktail Lounge, 1211 Chrysler Dr. in Detroit.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to help support Ronald McDonald House.
Cost for tickets is $55 for MMLA members and $65 for non-members. A ticket includes $25 FSP Casino Play vouchers, heavy appetizers, live DJ, 2 hour open bar, and complimentary parking.

MJI presents ‘All District Court Probation Officers Webinar’ Dec. 12
The Michigan Judicial Institute will present the “All District Court Probation Officers Webinar” on Monday, December 12, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Participants will become familiar with evidence-informed intervention that may be used with offenders, as well as legal updates, and how courts may be more culturally aware. The webinar is for all district court probation officers.

Attorney to provide update on ACA reporting requirement Dec. 8
Warner Norcross + Judd LLP attorney Stephanie Grant will be the featured speaker for a 90-minute webinar on “ACA Reporting Requirement Update and Strategies” Thursday, December 8, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
As another calendar year closes, employers with 50 or more full-time employees will once again need to issue 1095-C forms and file 1094-C forms with the IRS. Grant will help prepare for another year of ACA reporting by discussing a few changes to the forms and form instructions, and review some common reporting scenarios to help employers navigate this next round of reporting.
Grant’s practice focuses on employee benefits and ERISA. She earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School (2008) and her B.S. from Butler University (2005).
