The 5th Annual State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section Symposium took place February 16, at the Detroit Institute of Arts in the Diego Rivera Room. Titled “The Art of the Practice,” this year’s symposium explored various aspects of litigation practice, law firm management, and select substantive areas of law. The format consisted of lectures and roundtables with audience participation. Among those speaking at the symposium were (left to right) symposium coordinator Mark Rossman of Rossman PC who discussed “The Post-Pandemic Law Firm,” Wayne County Circuit Court Judge David J. Allen and Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Victoria Valentine who discussed “The Judicial Perspective,” Daniel Quick of Dickinson who discussed “Corporate Oppression and Fiduciary Breach,” and E. Powell Miller of The Miller Law Firm who discussed “The Art of Cross Examination.”
