In Memoriam: Terry Lee Gillette

Jackson attorney Terry Lee Gillette died February 15 at the age of 75. 

A Jackson native, Gillette was a graduate of Michigan Center High School. 

He then studied at Jackson Community College, earned his undergrad degree from Eastern Michigan University and his JD from Wayne State University. 

He was a member of the Michigan Bar Association and practiced law for 50 years, primarily in criminal law and real estate law. 

He also was a member of Duck’s Unlimited and Trout Unlimited, and a long-time former member of The Three Horse Club and a past president for the Clearwater Association.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Mandy Allen and Josh (Jenni) Gillette; brother, Dave (Judy) Gillette and sister Susan (Charlie) Stone, sister and brother-in-law Mollie and Jon Cardell; grandchildren Addie Allen, Evan Gillette and Colt Gillette; god-daughters, Cari Lynn Thornton and Cori Conley, and many cherished friends. 

Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society and Henry Ford Jackson Hospice Home or may be given to family for future designation.
