Mallory Reader joins Foster Swift

Foster Swift Collins & Smith welcomes associate Mallory E. Reader to its municipal practice group in the Grand Rapids office.

In addition to helping local units of government with legal issues, Reader practices in the areas of administrative law, licensing and election campaign finance law.

Before entering private practice, Reader worked for a Washington DC think-tank where she authored amicus briefs on the topics of individual rights and administrative agency power.

Reader earned her Bachelor’s in political science, cum laude from Hope College and her JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School.


Warner partners named Notable West Michigan lawyers

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP partners Charles N. Ash and Amanda Fielder have been selected as two of Crain’s Notable West Michigan Lawyers.

A trial lawyer with extensive experience in complex litigation, Ash has been recognized for his work in commercial litigation by Best Lawyers in America©every year since 2017. He has also been named to Michigan Super Lawyers since 2011 and was named a “Rising Star” by the publication in 2009 and 2010.

Ash is a trustee for the Michigan Colleges Alliance and served on the board directors for the Grand Rapids Public Schools Foundation for seven years, three as president.  

Chair of Warner’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group, Fielder concentrates her practice in litigation. She has been named to Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyers since 2022, Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2020 “Women in Law” and its 2015 “Up and Coming Lawyers.” She was named to Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 2018 40 Under 40 list and its 50 Most Influential Women list in 2020.
