Create works of art on the sidewalks around the Memorial Library, North Muskegon Branch of the Muskegon Area District Library.

‘The Lessons I Leave You: Paintings by Ayana Ross’ ends on September 10
The Muskegon Museum of Art will host this exhibit through September 10.
Ayana Ross draws from family, current events, history, art, experiences growing up in the American South, and Biblical stories viewed through a contemporary lens.
Touching on universal themes, her paintings offer an opening for viewers to find themselves and their own experiences.
A recurring theme is that of parent and child, of memories of the past and wishes and advice for the future.
Ross is based in McDonough, GA, and maintains a studio in Atlanta.
‘Aretha A Tribute’ slated for September 29
Broadway diva Capathia Jenkins will sing Aretha Franklin hits, accompanied by Darryl Williams on vocals.
The iconic favorites in this concert will include “Respect” and “Think” to “A Natural Woman,” “Chain of Fools,” “Amazing Grace” and many more.
The WMS concert is set 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at the Frauenthal Center.
