Law firm, county host D.C. reception

Butzel and the Michigan Defense Center, an operation of Macomb County and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, are co-hosting the 2023 Michigan Defense Industry – Arsenal of Innovation Annual Reception on Monday, Oct. 9, in Washington, D.C.

The event brings together global leadership from private industry and high-level military officials.

The reception coincides with the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Expo  October 9-11 in Washington. AUSA supports soldiers, their families and Army civilians and provides a voice for the Army and honors those who have served.

“Michigan’s defense sector continues to grow,” said Beth S. Gotthelf, chair of Butzel’s Aerospace & Defense Industry Team. “This growth is assisted by the MEDC’s relatively new ‘Make it in Michigan’ economic strategy to win more projects, resulting in additional jobs and new business opportunities in Michigan.”
