Michigan Civil Rights Commission sets meeting in Traverse City

The Michigan Civil Rights Commission has scheduled a quarterly meeting for today at 10 a.m. at Crystal Center at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville.

The meeting is open to the public and will include a public comment period.

The commission is slated to hear an update on a study of Michigan’s Native American boarding schools, upcoming public hearings on housing discrimination, the FY24 budget, and will consider support for providing access to driver's licenses to individuals regardless of their immigration status.

The meeting will also be accessible via ZOOM and be livestreamed to the MDCR Facebook page at facebook.com/MIDCR.

Individuals who join through ZOOM will also have an opportunity to provide public comment.

ASL Interpreters and CART captioning will be available on ZOOM and visible on screen for those attending in person.
