A jury last week convicted 27-year-old Michael Altman-Tucker of murder after a nine-day jury trial in Macomb County Circuit Court.
According to a news release issued by the prosecutor’s office, while Altman-Tucker was being removed from Dooley’s Bar by security staff last year, Altman-Tucker shot and killed security staff member Julius Bing.
A friend of Altman-Tucker was also struck with a stray bullet.
A jury found Altman-Tucker guilty of second-degree murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm and two counts of felony firearm.
Sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 6 in front of Circuit Court Judge Joseph Tonia.
