Clark Hill promotes local attorney



Clark Hill has announced the promotion of 12 attorneys to Member, effective Jan. 1, 2024. The new Members represent eight offices and nine practice areas. The promoted attorneys include Marshall Grate from the Grand Rapids office, who focuses on Education.

 Kreis Enderle elects shareholder


Attorney Courtney Schlipp Fisk has been elected as a partner at Kreis Enderle.

Fisk focuses her practice on litigation and regularly appears in Michigan’s state and federal courts to protect and enforce clients’ interests in breach of contract claims, business torts, and shareholder/partnership disputes. She extends her business litigation practice to representing financial institutions in debt collection and mortgage foreclosure actions.

Beyond commercial litigation, she represents individuals in business formations, criminal proceedings, family law matters, and residential and investment real estate transactions. She is also at the forefront of advising clients venturing into the emerging Michigan cannabis market.

Fisk received her JD from Valparaiso University School of Law, and an MBA from Central Michigan University.

Hilger Hammond promotes Miller to shareholder


The law firm of Hilger Hammond announced that effective Jan. 3, Jill K. Miller has been promoted to shareholder.

Miller, who earned both her law degree and MBA from Loyola University of Chicago,  joined the firm in 2018 and has over 25 years of experience. She offers clients business and real estate expertise on matters including entity formation, corporate governance, corporate and real estate transactions, and succession planning.

Licensed in Michigan, Florida, and Illinois, she counsels privately held businesses on all matters and also counsels non-profit organizations on entity formation and corporate governance/

Miller is active in the East Grand Rapids community, including serving as the former president of the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation.
