Parmenter Law adds three new associates to the team

Parmenter Law in Muskegon has added three associate attorneys to the team.

Brennen J. Gorman has a track record of success as an expert in the field of Michigan liquor law. His practice also focuses on contract, business law, commercial real estate, and trademark matters.

Gorman, who joins Parmenter Law after seven years in practice with Brower Vander Veen, PLC.  is joining Parmenter Law’s public sector law team to assist in a variety of civil municipal matters ranging from economic development to ensuring municipal compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

A graduate of Michigan State University College of Law and Grand Valley State University, where he received degrees in political science and writing, while in law school, Brennen worked in the Michigan Legislature, completed the Trial Practice Institute, and participated on the MSU Law Niagara Moot Court Team.

Gorman is an adjunct faculty member at Muskegon Community College in its Entrepreneurship Program. He serves as president on the Parties in the Park Board of Directors, and is a member of JCI Greater Muskegon. He lives in downtown Muskegon with his wife, Rachel, and their dog, Maple.

Grant C. James is joining Parmenter Law’s litigation, public sector, and business law teams to assist in a variety of complex disputes and transactions.

A West Michigan native, James joins Parmenter Law after spending two summers with the firm as a law clerk. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor cum laude. While in law school, he worked as a research assistant to his constitutional law professor.

Kennedy N. Potts, an alumna of Mona Shores High School will focus her practice on civil litigation and city prosecution.

She joins Parmenter Law after graduating from MSU Law and passing the July 2023 Bar.

While in law school, Kennedy interned with the Muskegon County Prosecutors Office and the Ingham County Prosecutors Office and competed on the MSU Moot Court Team at the National Moot Court Competition.

She is an alumna of Western Michigan University where she received her degree in Behavioral Science and played volleyball for the Broncos.

Kennedy enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and golden retriever, Gus.
