Attorneys discuss ‘Comparing International & Domestic Arbitration’

The State Bar of Michigan’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, along with the Business Law and Litigation Sections, and the Detroit Bar Association ADR Section, will present a webinar on “Comparing International and Domestic Arbitration: Tips for Advocates, Clients and Arbitrators” Tuesday, Feb. 20, from noon to 1 p.m. 

Presenting at the webinar will be Frederick Acomb, Jamie Woolard, and Harshitha Ram.

Acomb leads the International Disputes practice at Miller Canfield, an international law firm headquartered in Detroit. He defends and prosecutes transnational litigation and international arbitration matters for clients located throughout the world.

Woolard is a principal in Miller Canfield’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. He handles complex commercial disputes with an emphasis on transnational litigation and international arbitration. 

Ram is an international disputes attorney, arbitrator, and mediator, concentrating in diverse areas of law, including commercial, information technology, healthcare, labor and employment. Her practice encompasses early dispute resolution (EDR), arbitration, and mediation on both the domestic and international fronts. 

Moderating the webinar will be Larry J. Saylor, senior counsel in Miller Canfield’s Detroit office.

Cost for the webinar is $10 for ADR and co-sponsoring section members, and $40 for all other registrants.
