Gocha, and Haney were previously senior associates and Wheeler a senior attorney with Bodman.
A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Gocha is a member of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Appellate Law, and Intellectual Property practice groups. He represents business clients in complex litigation matters. He has successfully represented clients from small startups to Fortune 10 corporations.

Haney is a member of the Aviation Law and Finance, Business, and Tax practice groups. A former senior auditor for the Michigan Department of Treasury, she has handled Michigan tax compliance and controversy matters from both the government and taxpayer perspectives. Her background in state and local tax benefits clients seeking assistance with multi-jurisdictional compliance matters ranging from apportionment and revenue sourcing to navigation of nexus and filing requirements.
At the federal level, she has successfully assisted clients in navigating IRS notices and exams, disputing audit findings and assessments, addressing tax liens and remedying past compliance issues.
Haney is listed in Best Lawyers – Ones to Watch under Tax Law, in Grand Rapids Magazine’s Top Lawyers for Tax Law, and has been named a Michigan Rising Star in Tax.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of Cooley Law School.
Wheeler is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group. He assists clients with all types of real estate matters, with a particular focus on complex commercial real estate leasing transactions.
He has significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases, amendments, extensions, assignments, subleases, SNDA’s, estoppels, and more.
A magna cum laude graduate of Cooley Law School, Wheeler is listed as a Michigan Lawyers Weekly “Go-To Lawyer” for Real Estate and Condominium Law and was named a Grand Rapids Magazine Top Lawyer for Real Estate Law.
