Former Warren city councilman arraigned for carrying a concealed firearm

A former Warren City Councilman has been charged and arraigned for carrying a concealed firearm without a license.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office says Warren officers made a traffic stop on Edward Kabacinski.  Once officers made contact with Kabacinski, one of the officers observed a handgun on Kabacinski, who according to the prosecutor’s office, does not have a concealed pistol license.

Kabacinski, age 50, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He was arraigned last week in 37th Warren District Court by District Court Judge Suzanne Faunce where bond was set at $5,000 cash/surety.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for May 16 before Warren District Court Chief Judge John Chmura.
