The Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with AARP Michigan, invites residents of all ages and abilities to participate in the free Walk, Roll and Stroll Jackson series.
The next events are scheduled for May 21, June 4, June 18, July 2 and July 16, with registration starting at 6 p.m. and the program commencing at 6:30 p.m.
Participants will go on a non- competitive 3-mile route through local parks. Shorter routes are available.
Events on June 4 and July 2 will be at Ella Sharp; meet in the soccer fields parking lot off Birchwood Drive. Events on May 21, June 18 and July 16, will be at Cascades, meet at the pavilion off the S. Brown Street parking lot.
Prizes will be awarded at the completion of each event with a grand prize awarded July 16. Schedules will be available at each event or on the 5th Floor of City Hall, 161 W. Michigan Ave. For more information, call the Jackson Parks and Recreation Department at 517-788- 4040 or 517-240-1223.
