Local dmission ceremonies have been planned and include the following:
• The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association/Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan New Lawyer Admission Ceremony will take place Wednesday, May 29, at from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center 13th Floor Auditorium, 2 Woodward in Detroit. All new attorneys who plan to take the oath at this ceremony must register online at www.detroitlawyer.org/admissions-ceremony.
• The Oakland County Bar Association will host the spring 2024 New Lawyers Admissions Ceremony with the Oakland County Circuit Court for the February bar passers on Friday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Commissioners Auditorium at the Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph in Pontiac. This event will be led by Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Judge Jeffery Matis and other judges sitting en banc. To register, visit www.ocba.org and click on “events.”
