Former Clinton Township police officer sentenced for Law Enforcement Information Network violation

A 36-year-old former Clinton Township police officer pled guilty recently to unauthorized disclosure of the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN), a 93-day misdemeanor and was sentenced.

An audit by the Michigan State Police concluded that on August 24, 2022, officer John Hreno ran a license plate into LEIN that was never a focus of investigation by the Clinton Township Police Department and there was no valid law enforcement reason to run the license plate.

Hreno was charged and pleaded guilty to Unauthorized Disclosure of LEIN Information.

41B Clinton Township District Court Judge Jacob Femminineo, Jr. sentenced Hreno on Tuesday to two years probation and 25 hours of community service.
