NCSC has been working with the Pandemic Rapid Response Team, the Conference of Chief Justices, and the Conference of State Court Administrators to help courts navigate challenging workplace disruptions following the pandemic. NCSC worked with seven pilot courts to conduct employee engagement surveys and interviews that gauged viewpoints related to topics such as well-being; their overall work experience; workplace health and safety; and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Judges and court leaders from three jurisdictions will share how they leveraged the new court employee viewpoint survey to independently learn what’s working well, assess areas for ongoing improvement, and weave valuable employee perspectives into future planning.
Speaking at the webinar will be:
•Amy Prenda, deputy administrator for court services, Nebraska Administrative Office of Courts and Probation
• Melissa Ireland, judicial administrator, Lancaster County Court, Nebraska
• Chief Judge Carol Bealor, Cass County Courts, Michigan
• Sarah Mathews, Friend of the Court director and Circuit, Probate, and Family Court administrator, Cass County Courts, Michigan
• Judge Leonard G. Brown III, Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas, Pennsylvania
• Mark M. Dalton, district court administrator, Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas, Pennsylvania
• Lori Shemka, court consultant, National Center for State Courts
