36th District Court launches Amnesty Program June 24


The 36th District Court will hold its debt amnesty program from June 24 to August 2. During this period, all late fees, penalties, and warrant costs will be entirely waived upon full payment of the original amount. This initiative applies to all adjudicated cases with assessed fines and costs, except for driver’s license reinstatement fees.

“We are thrilled to offer individuals the opportunity to settle their outstanding debt, alleviating the burden of accumulated late fees and warrant costs,” said 36th District Court Chief Judge William C. McConico. “The 36th District Court staff is fully committed to assisting our users in obtaining relief and ensuring the success of this amnesty program.”

Speaker discusses ‘What Millennials & Gen Z Want’ when it comes to hiring



The Association of Legal Administrators, Metropolitan Detroit Chapter, will present guest speaker Jessie DaSilva who will discuss “What Millennials & Gen Z Want: Recruit & Retain the Generations” on Wednesday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roadside B&G, 1727 S Telegraph Rd. in Bloomfield Twp.

In this signature talk, DaSilva  explains how companies can better retain young workers, and in doing so, keep all their best employees.

Prosecutor to discuss ‘OWI Forfeiture’ during webinar July 18



The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will present the Traffic Safety Training Program Webinar “OWI Forfeiture” on Thursday, July 18, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Chief Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Guilliat from the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office will lead the webinar.

This course is approved for 1 hour of credit under PAAM’s recommended CLE Best Practice.
