MSU?Law interim dean meets alumni in New York for Summer Social

About 25 Michigan State University Law alumni working in New York City, including two student summer interns, met with Interim Dean Michael Sant’Ambrogio earlier this month as part of the Alumni Summer Social events.

A perfect summer evening at the Castell Rooftop Lounge served as a backdrop for alumni to network.

Dean Sant’Ambrogio thanked the group for the work they do on behalf of MSU Law and its current student body.

Summer interns Olivia Tucker and Nina Torres represent the power of alumni organizations. Their internships came to fruition due to networking, mentoring and guidance.

“I encourage all of you to stay involved with us and help guide our students like this,” he said. “Also, I’d like to thank you for your ongoing support.”

Financial support from MSU Law alumni is helping to fuel future plans for the College of Law, Dean Sant’Ambrogio said.

“The law college’s plans are focused on raising our national profile and increasing our impact on the State of Michigan,” he said.

He led an enthusiastic round of applause for MSU Law’s achievements this year.

“Our moot court program was ranked No. 1 in the country for 2024,” he said. “And eight of the last 10 years, we ranked in the top five. Many of you were on those teams!”

The New York gathering was sponsored by American Legal Claims Services and Chris Loizides of Loizides, PA, and is the second in a series of four Alumni Summer Social events being held this summer. The first was held in Kalamazoo in May.

Upcoming events are in Detroit on June 26 and Lansing on July 30. Look for registration details from MSU Law Office of Advancement.
